Flooding and God's Hand

I'm sure that most of you have seen on the news about the flooding that we have been having here in Texas.

While there wasn't much damage done here at our house, we know many who lost much. It has been heartbreaking to watch so many suffer through these storms and try to clean up the mess.

Yet even amidst the mess, we see God's hand at work. People have been pulling together to help those in need. All over Texas and beyond, people are coming together to help get people back on their feet.

God is good. He has been working even through the hardship.

Is there something in your life that is causing you angst? Know that even in this, God can work all things for the good. Whatever may be going on in your life, invite God into the middle of it. Let Him take over. He will not only help you through, He will work all of this for your good.

Take a moment to pray and invite Him in.

And if you will excuse me, I have some praying to do myself.

Still Working

It's been a busy few months. 

The Five Little Women continue to work and maintain our store. Mainly we have all been busy pursuing our various interests and enjoying life. 

It's still pretty cold here in Texas. Our daffodils are blooming giving us hope that sping is on the way. In the meantime we are preparing the garden and making a lot of fires in the fireplace.

We love beginnings around our house.

Each new year symbolizes a fresh start, a time to try new things, a new beginning.

This year the Five Little Women look forward to growing closer, making new items for the shop, and exploring the new paths that God  has for us.

What Have We Been Up To?

I hope you're having a great holiday season.

We have been very busy here. Christmas is a fun and crazy time of year. So many good holiday traditions.

One is being in an outdoor Christmas play. This is a fun way to act and remind us all of the reason for the season.

We also like to go to see the Trail of Lights. They get us into the Christmas spirit.

And of course spending a lot of time enjoying the Christmas decorations with cups of hot chocolate in front of a warm fire.
